Acton Farm, a beef and sheep farm farmed by the Herdman family since 1995, is now home to myself, my husband Dan and our young children Annie and Oliver. Our farm is situated on the border of Northumberland and County Durham in an area of outstanding natural beauty and tranquility. Overlooking the Derwent Reservoir, our farm is just a short drive to the historical village of Blanchland and beautiful local towns Corbridge & Hexham .

We have always been passionate about farming and with 600 sheep and 30 cattle, we are kept very busy and there is never a dull moment. We are so lucky to live in this incredible area, it's both idyllic and picturesque but close enough to rural villages and towns which have so much to offer. We wanted people to experience the charm and delicacy which surrounds our farm and amazing dark skies, and so Herdman Huts were created!  The luxury stargazing shepherd's huts have been purpose-built with extra special features to ensure your holiday is just perfect. We are always on hand to help with queries during your stay and welcome you to our Farm with a smile.
